About Our Parish

Our Parish

St. John Vianney parish is a vibrant faith community in Barrie, Ontario. Our parish was built in 1989 to serve the south end of Barrie and the town of Innisfil. It is home to approximately 3000 families, one high school and six elementary schools. We are a Roman Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Toronto and members of the universal Catholic church headed by Pope Francis in Rome. Our priests come from an order known as the "Carmelites of Mary Immaculate" (CMI).

Our Patron Saint

A wooden carving of St. John Vianne robed in white, his hands clasped, and eyes fixed sky-ward.
